Japan Knife TOKU | Tanegashima Knife Aji-kiri knife White paper 1 steel blade Cherry Blossom handle

A small, cute, and versatile double-edged knife

As the name suggests, this knife is suitable for cutting small fish.
It is double-edged so it can be used with either hand, making it recommended for left-handed people too!
Many people are surprised at how sharp the steel is.

This is a black-finish knife made in Tanegashima.
Designated as a traditional craft of Kagoshima, this is a masterpiece that has been made using the same blacksmithing techniques that have been used since the introduction of firearms, along with the seed scissors, which are said to never need to be resharpened.

■Customer feedback:
・I'm left-handed, so I was looking for something for lefties, and this is something I can use.
・It feels very light to hold, so I like it and can be used in many different ways.
・Steel knives are indeed very sharp. I was surprised at how sharp they were.

Tanegashima is the place where firearms were introduced from Portugal in 1543.
Additionally, since high-quality iron sand has been available here since ancient times, it is also a place where blacksmithing techniques have developed.
Today, two brothers, craftsmen, work in that area every day, demonstrating their skills in making knives and scissors.
Please try out our Tane knives, which have been developed through tradition and skill.
