Grindstone Goken New
A popular whetstone product is "Goken Arata" from Naniwa Kenma Kogyo.
This whetstone is made using the magnesia method.
You can start using it immediately by pouring an appropriate amount of water on the whetstone.
It has a nice smooth ride and produces mud relatively easily.
This whetstone has excellent flatness retention.
When using for the first time, it is recommended to soak it in water for a few minutes and then re-face it before using it.
It's easier to make it shiny if you use mud and sharpen it slowly at a smooth speed.
This product is easy to use even for beginners.
The case can be used as a whetstone stand.
For regular sharpening, it is recommended to use #1000.
If you want to use a finishing whetstone, it is recommended to use one with a grit of #2000 or higher.
Note: This whetstone is only available for sale in Japan. Thank you for your understanding.
