A popular standard whetstone is Shapton's "KUROMAKU."
You may have the image that whetstones are soaked in water before sharpening, but With this product, you can start sharpening immediately by simply wetting the whetstone surface with a small amount of water. This is a whetstone made using the magnesia method. The case can be used as a whetstone stand.
For regular sharpening, it is recommended to use #1000. If you want to use a finishing whetstone, it is recommended to use one with a grit of #2000 or higher.
